I AM THANKFUL…
…for a roof over my head, clean sheets, fresh water, and food in the pantry,,,
…for the freedom to worship as I choose, when I choose, with whomever I choose…
…for friends and family who love me, but still hold me accountable…
…for parents who taught me to respect others, love others, but not others mold me into something I am not…
…for being able to make a living helping people to trust more in Jesus.
I AM AWARE THAT…
…there are many without a home, a bed, clean water, and go hungry at night…
…not everyone has the chance to worship openly, but must remain hidden…
…a true friend can tell me the truth, and in such a way that I am able to accept it…
…some parents are parents in name only – they never taught their children how to become adults…
…many people in my own country have to work two or more jobs, just to keep food on the table and the creditors outside the door.
I PRAY THAT…
…God will use me to help someone else out of homelessness, since He Himself was a wandering, homeless rabbi for a time in His life…
…I will allow others to worship God in their own way, and trust that God will never stop drawing them to Himself…
…I will be a friend, a pastor, a soul that brings out the best in those around me so that they can be their true selves…
…I will be a safe place for my children, my wife, my cousins, my friends – where they can find rest and healing…
…I will never judge someone by where they work, but see them as another precious child of God.
O Lord, let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.
