The first book club selection for 2022 is from the Bonita Springs Library – Little Bee by Chris Cleave. The library’s program to support book clubs will make available to us about a dozen copies of the book along with discussion suggestions. So, you don’t need to rush out and buy a copy of this book. Books should be available for us to distribute in about a week.
This is a great opportunity for readers who would prefer not to buy an expensive bestseller to join us. Little Bee is described as “a haunting novel about the tenuous friendship that blooms between two disparate strangers – one an illegal Nigerian refugee, the other a recent widow from suburban London.” When the books are available, they will be brought to church to distribute. Remember, these are library books so no underlining or marking.
